Pack odds calculator.
What is that pack really worth? Works for Pokémon, sports and One Piece packs. Enter its price, its odds and the sell-back rate. See the expected value, your chase odds and what a session really costs.
Copy the odds table from the pack page: each row is a value range and its chance. Leave "to" empty for the top row if it's open-ended ("$500+").
How to read pack odds
Online rip sites show each pack's odds as a table of value ranges: for example, a 44% chance your card is worth $12.50-$17.50 and a 0.1% chance it's worth $250-$500. This calculator takes the middle of each range, weights it by its chance and adds it up. That's the expected value: what one pack is worth on average if you opened thousands of them. More in pack expected value explained.
Because each range is wide, the real figure could sit anywhere between the bottom and the top of every range. We show that spread under the main number so you know how precise the estimate is.
Why expected value is usually below the price
The gap between what you pay and the average card value covers buying and grading the cards, insured storage, shipping and the platform itself. Most sites also make a margin when you sell a card back, because they pay 85-90% of its estimated value rather than 100%. A pack with an expected value near 100% of its price and a 90% sell-back is good by today's standards. Anything much lower is an expensive night out.
"1 in 400" doesn't mean "after 400"
A 1 in 400 chase doesn't arrive on pack 400. Every pack is a fresh draw, so your chance of at least one hit in 400 packs is about 63%, and around 1 in 5 people still miss after 640 packs. Set your budget by the expected cost above, not by when the hit "should" come.
Rip for fun
Packs are entertainment, not an investment. Decide your budget before you start, don't chase losses, and take a break when it stops being fun. You must be 18 or older to buy packs.
