Sell back or ship?
You pulled a card. Sell it back to the site now, or ship it home and sell it yourself? What each route puts in your pocket after fees.
Fee defaults are eBay's published rates for trading cards (13.25% plus a per-order fee of $0.30-$0.40) as of 2026. Fees change, so put in today's. We assume the buyer pays shipping (the fee is charged on it too). A tracked shipment for a slab usually costs $5-$8.
What the numbers leave out
Selling yourself takes days to weeks, and a buyer can return a card or open a dispute. Sell-back is instant and final. On a small difference, time and risk usually decide it.
Check the sale price
Use recent sold prices for the same card in the same slab and grade, not asking prices. The site's estimate is its own; the market may disagree in either direction.

Quick answers
Should I sell back or ship my card?
Sell back when the card is low value or the difference is small: shipping and marketplace fees eat most of the gap. Ship and sell yourself when recent sales sit well above the break-even price.
